2. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the Game *OneTouch*, the Site, related services and features, customer-support interactions, and analytics and marketing activities related to the Game.
3. Information We Collect
3.1 Account information: username, email address, authentication credentials.
3.2 Device and technical information: device model, operating system, device identifiers, IP address, language settings, crash reports, performance and diagnostic data.
3.3 Gameplay and usage data: gameplay activity, progression data, in-game interactions, session duration, purchase history.
3.4 Analytics and marketing data: advertising identifiers (e.g. IDFA on iOS, AAID on Android), campaign-attribution data, engagement metrics, user-acquisition information. Advertising identifiers are not processed for users identified as below the applicable age of digital consent.
4. How We Use Your Data
- Service operation: provide and maintain the Game, authenticate accounts, ensure functionality and security, and provide customer support.
- Game improvement: analyse gameplay behaviour, improve balancing and performance, troubleshoot issues, and develop new features.
- Communications: send service-related notifications, respond to support requests, and communicate updates or important changes.
- Marketing and analytics: where permitted by law and, where required, subject to your consent, measure advertising performance, improve acquisition campaigns, and understand audience behaviour.
5. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
Where the GDPR applies, we process personal data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract; our legitimate interests (e.g. securing and improving the Game), balanced against your rights; compliance with legal obligations; and your consent, where required (in particular for advertising identifiers and non-essential trackers). You may withdraw consent at any time.
6. Sharing of Data
We may share personal data with categories of recipients including cloud-hosting providers, analytics providers, attribution and advertising partners, customer-support tools, payment processors, and platform operators such as Apple and Google. We do not sell personal data.
7. International Transfers
Some service providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Where this occurs, we rely on an appropriate transfer mechanism, such as a European Commission adequacy decision or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, together with supplementary measures where necessary.
8. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Game, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Account data is generally kept for the life of your account and deleted within a reasonable period after closure; billing records are retained for the period required by applicable accounting and tax law (in France, up to 10 years).
9. Security Measures
We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, disclosure, and alteration. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
10. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to or restrict processing, request portability, and withdraw consent. Requests may be submitted to play@fromthefrench.com.
Right to lodge a complaint: if you are in the EEA, you may lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In France this is the Commission Nationale de l’Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL), www.cnil.fr.
11. Children’s Privacy
The Game is not directed to children below the age of digital consent in their country of residence (15 in France; this age varies by country — for example, 13 in the United States and the United Kingdom). At account creation we apply an age check. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children below the applicable age without the consent of the holder of parental authority, and we do not serve personalised advertising to, or process advertising identifiers of, users we identify as below the applicable age. If we become aware that we have collected such data without the required consent, we delete it promptly. A parent or guardian who believes their child has provided personal data may contact us at play@fromthefrench.com.
12. Third-Party Services
The Game may integrate third-party services, including the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store, analytics providers, and advertising partners, which may collect information under their own privacy policies, over which we have no control.
13. Cookies, SDKs and Tracking Technologies
Depending on the platform and applicable law, we may use cookies, software development kits (SDKs), and tracking technologies for analytics, authentication, advertising performance, and crash reporting. Non-essential trackers and advertising identifiers are used only with your consent, collected through a consent mechanism on the Site and, on mobile, through the platform’s permission framework (such as Apple’s App Tracking Transparency). You can change your choices at any time in your device or browser settings.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may modify this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes become effective upon publication within the Game, on the Site, or related services. Continued use after publication constitutes acceptance of the updated version.
